Undergraduate Research Campus Partner Grant

The Office of Undergraduate Research is proud to partner with on-campus Living-Learning Communities and the Office of Sustainability to provide grants that increase access and engagement in research for students affiliated with communities. The Undergraduate Research Campus Partner Grant provides salary funding for students conducting faculty-mentored research. 

Undergraduate Research Campus Partner Grant

  • up to $1,500 per recipient for student salary
  • for projects in collaboration with a faculty mentor
  • funds research, scholarly, and creative projects in all disciplines

 

Application Deadlines and Announcement Dates

Fall Deadline:  October 21, 2025 by 5:00 pm
Award Announcement Date: by December 13, 2025
Grant Duration: January 2026 through December 2026

Spring Deadline:  March 24, 2026 by 5:00 pm
Award Announcement Date: by May 1, 2026
Grant Duration: June 2026 through May 2027

 


Eligibility Guidelines and Participating Communities

  • applicants must be enrolled for one full semester after the grant begins
    (cannot apply the semester graduating)
  • preference given to students with a record of engagement and good standing in their community
  • students may receive the Campus Partner Grant a maximum of two times
  • preference may be given to those who have not previously received funding through the Campus Partner Grant

 

Application Process

Complete the following steps by the deadline stated above for your application to be considered complete.

1 Complete the Undergraduate Research Campus Partner application document

Includes Research Learning Agreement, project abstract, personal statement and budget justification

2 Ask your mentor(s) to complete the Mentoring Plan Mentoring Plan - Primary

Mentoring Plan - Secondary

NOTE: graduate students are permitted as daily advisers and secondary mentors but are not eligible to be the primary mentor for a project.

3 Submit the online application form 

Select "Undergraduate Research Campus Partner Grant" and the corresponding community from the menu. 

Select "Undergraduate Research Mini-Grant" from the menu. Under Project Information upload your Undergrad Research Application as a PDF or Word document.
