Course Description

Dynamic characteristics of railway systems and their components; Modeling and simulations of railway systems including trains, track and ballast; Dynamic interaction of components including wheel-rail and train-bridge interaction; Study of environmental vibrations; Advanced topics on infrastructure assessment, infrastructure upgrade and vibration mitigation.Prerequisite: D or better in ECIV 524.Prerequisite or Corequisite: D or better in ECIV 520.GC: 12/14/2015.
