Course Description

The history of land conservation and environmental advocacy, with a specific focus on South Carolina laws and practices. Instruction on real estate laws applicable to acquiring lands outright, tax laws applicable to conservation easements, wetlands mitigation, heirs' property, and the practicalities of coordinating and funding a conservation project will also be provided.Prerequisite: C or better in LAWH 700.GC: 11/24/2025.
