Advising for Incoming First-Year Students

As an Honors College student, you have priority registration for fall courses over other incoming first-year students, and you'll participate in a special Honors orientation session during your regular orientation on campus. Your Honors College advising and course registration for incoming first-year students is done in a virtual appointment in May and early June. Advising for Current Students

Honors advising for current students is undergoing a restructure. More information about that process is available here.  

All Honors students are assigned to an advisor with expertise in Honors requirements and opportunities. Your advisor will guide you through the Honors curriculum and requirements and help you make strategic course selections to meet your academic and post-graduation goals. Your advisor will also support your pursuit of Beyond the Classroom opportunities, including study abroad, internships, undergraduate research and service learning courses. Essentially, your advisor is your guide to getting the most out of your time at USC and the South Carolina Honors College!
