Handshake
Handshake is the Career Center's online career management platform. Employers partner with us to post open positions through Handshake. Students and alumni use it to search for positions, post resumes, sign up for on-campus interviews, find out about job fairs and events and network with employers. Please note: Alumni will need to request their alumni Handshake account using their personal email address.
Career Shift
USC alumni are encouraged to use this resource to search, select and store job listings from all job boards and company job postings. You can search for USC alumni contacts and companies in specific locations and get up-to-date and in-depth information for millions of companies. Alumni should contact the Career Center at career@sc.edu to obtain the access code.
NEW Alumni Job Search Package
Gamecock Package Cost: $125 ($25 Savings) (Alumni Association members pay $0)
This complete Job Search package will assist you if you are preparing for a job search
or actively seeking new employment. This package include three 1-hour coaching sessions
(normally $50 each). These coaching sessions will help you:
- Update and polish your marketing tools (resume & cover letter)
- Connect with employers and job opportunities through our online search engines, Handshake and CareerShift, or in person at one of our career fairs
- Find out what to do before, during and after the interview
- Learn what to expect through interview preparation and reviewing different interview styles
- Practice how to answer different types of sample questions with a mock interview
