Direct Transfer Pathways
The University of South Carolina offers direct transfer pathways that allow students to begin their college journey elsewhere while completing transferable coursework aligned with USC degree requirements and earning guaranteed admission upon meeting established criteria.
SC Technical College Direct Transfer Pathway
USC’s Direct Transfer Track provides a defined transfer pathway for specific majors, allowing eligible students from Midlands Technical College (MTC) or Greenville Technical College (GTC) to complete an associate degree before transferring to USC Columbia to complete their bachelor degree within two additional years. Students who meet the admission requirements for the university and their chosen major, and submit their application by the deadline, are guaranteed admission to USC Columbia.
Verto Direct Transfer Pathway
The University of South Carolina has partnered with Verto Education to offer eligible students a Direct Transfer Pathway that provides guaranteed admission to USC based on successful academic performance during a year-long international experience. Through this program, students begin their college journey abroad at one of Verto’s five global locations while completing coursework that meets USC’s direct transfer requirements. Students also receive on-site support from Verto staff, including assistance with submitting the Verto Partner Application to USC.
All courses, credits, and transcripts at Verto locations are delivered by Verto’s accredited academic provider, the University of New Haven. This coursework has been reviewed and articulated by USC to align with our course offerings. The curriculum is designed to support academic success while allowing students to gain meaningful global experiences and earn transferable credits toward a USC degree.
