Honduras

Join Capstone Scholars as we partner with the School of Medicine to Honduras for spring break, March 7 - March 14. You will get the opportunity to learn directly from medical students and doctors as you help to run a clinic in Honduras. Our leaders, Dr. Mark Humphrey and Dr. Lucy Rinehuls, will give you direct experience working in a clinic in a country of need. Working side-by-side with medical professionals, you will provide "hands-on healthcare" through collecting patient health care histories, obtaining vital signs, performing diagnostic tests, and dispensing medications. In the evenings, you will participate in reflection and discussion exercises about the impacts of global health and how to provide responsible care. This is a perfect for those willing to embrace Capstone Scholars' personal challenge and are looking to gain valuable medical clinic experience while abroad. *This program is open to second-year Capstone Scholars and Capstone Fellows only.
