The Walterboro-Colleton County Airport Commission is accepting applications for a part-time seasonal groundskeeper at Lowcountry Regional Airport. This job performs routine airport grounds keeping during the growing season, typically May through October, under the general supervision of the Operations Manager. Must be able to operate a variety of airport maintenance equipment including but not limited to mow truck, tractors, bush hogs, mowers, weed-eaters, and chainsaws and perform maintenance on mowing equipment such as cleaning, changing blades, fueling, and greasing.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid South Carolina driver’s license. Knowledge of the proper procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment used in mowing, tree and brush trimming, and maintenance of airport grounds preferred. Knowledge of aircraft traffic and safety regulations preferred. Must meet other requirements set forth in the job description. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check are required.

The Colleton County Historical and Preservation Society (CCHAPS) is looking for a college student to assist with digitizing their collection of photographs, historical documents, and artifacts. This internship is a great opportunity for students interested in library and information science, public history, humanities, museum studies, or a related field.
About the Internship
As a Digitization Intern, you will:
- Digitize historic materials, including scanning and editing images.
- Create descriptive metadata for the digital archive.
- Prepare finding aids according to archival standards.
You will learn:
- How to work with historic, primary-source photographic materials
- How to digitize historic materials and create metadata
- How to describe materials and create finding aids according to archival standards
Requirements
- Student interested in library and information science, public history, humanities, museum studies, or a related discipline
- Comfortable handling potentially fragile collection materials
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to accurately manage files and tasks
- Strong verbal communication skills
Compensation

- The majority of the work is done in an office setting.
