Communication Workshops

Regular workshops on effectively communicating your research, professional goals, and accomplishments verbally and in writing through C.V.s, resumes, grant and fellowship proposals, academic job documents, and interviews are offered by the Career Center, Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Graduate School.

This annual research symposium showcases work done by students at all levels across the University of South Carolina system. All graduate students are invited to present posters on their work and gain experience presenting on their research to the larger university community.

3-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT)

This annual competition challenges graduate students to communicate their research in substantive and accessible ways for non-specialist audiences.

Dance Your Ph.D. Contest

This competition invites doctoral students and Ph.D. recipients to explain their research through interpretive dance. Sponsored by Science magazine and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
