Background

Farzam Boroomand is an assistant professor of international business at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He received his PhD in strategic management from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. His research examines how organizational design and governance influence the effectiveness of efforts to address societal grand challenges, and has been published in top journals including Organization Science and the Journal of International Business Studies. His dissertation has been recognized with several honors, including the Academy of Management STR Division's Robert J. Litschert Award and a 2024 RRBM Dare to Care Dissertation Scholarship for responsible research advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
