Biography

Sriram Venkataraman is a professor, a Distinguished Moore Fellow and Department Chair in the Department of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He holds a doctoral degree from Clemson University, master's degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Alabama and a bachelor's degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He has professional experience with Netscribes (India) Pvt. Ltd. as an Associate. 

His primary research interests are in empirical service operations, healthcare operations, and sustainability. His research problems employ a wide range of empirical methods, including structural and reduced-form estimation and advanced frontier estimation techniques. His work has appeared in journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Services Operations Management, Information Systems Research, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, and Quality Management Journal. He is currently a senior editor for Production and Operations Management and an associate editor for the Journal of Operations Management. Previously, he served as a department editor for the Decision Sciences Journal and as an associate editor for Service Science.
