Background

Shelley Trautman serves as Youth Project Coordinator with the Children's Law Center at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. She brings more than 15 years of experience in community engagement, youth development, health education, and collaborative program leadership.

Throughout her career, Shelley has worked with schools, nonprofit organizations, community agencies, museums, youth-serving programs, and public health initiatives to connect children, families, and communities with educational opportunities and supportive resources. Her work focuses on building partnerships, facilitating programs, promoting community engagement, and strengthening systems that support positive outcomes for young people.

Shelley is passionate about creating meaningful connections, empowering families through education and advocacy, and fostering collaboration among organizations working to improve the well-being of children and youth. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University.
